Enfield Town Park fireworks, Saturday 31 October: gates now 5pm, last entry 6.30pm, display 7pm. No tickets on the gate; collect yours by 5pm on 30 October.

Enfield Council’s fireworks show is on Saturday 31 October 2026, not bonfire night. It runs 5pm to 8pm in Enfield Town Park, the fireworks launch at 7pm, and this year it is themed as a Halloween Spooktacular. All of that is on the event page at Dugdale Arts Centre, which is the council’s own arts centre and the only place selling tickets.

Updated 3 October: the box office listing now gives gates at 5pm, last entry at 6.30pm, fancy dress judging at 6.30pm and the fireworks at 7pm. When this page was first written it said 4pm to 8pm with the display at around 6.30pm. If you read the earlier times anywhere, they are out of date.

That is a real change. The 2025 show was on Saturday 8 November with a “Night at the Movies” theme, per the council’s own announcement, and 2024’s was on 2 November. This year the whole thing has moved forward to Halloween. If you are searching for an Enfield display on or near 5 November, there is nothing published for that date.

Three things that catch people out

There are no tickets on the gate. The booking page states it flatly: “No tickets will be available on the gate. Bags subject to search.”

There are no digital tickets either. Tickets have to be collected in person from Dugdale Arts Centre, 39 London Road, Enfield EN2 6DS, by 5pm on Friday 30 October 2026. The organiser advises collecting before the Friday to avoid queues. It also warns that tickets are not reissued once collected, so if you lose yours you buy again.

Last entry is 6.30pm, half an hour before the display. The gates open at 5pm.

The timetable

  • 5pm: gates open.
  • 6.30pm: last entry, and the fancy dress competition is judged.
  • 7pm: fireworks.
  • 8pm: event ends.

The fancy dress competition has two age groups, under 4s and 5 to 11. Halloween costumes are encouraged, but the organiser says any costume is welcome. Each group has one winner and two runners-up, who win tickets for next year’s show. Where to meet for judging will be sent to ticket holders nearer the date.

Prices

Both early bird windows have closed. Early Bird 1 ended on Sunday 9 August and Early Bird 2 on Monday 31 August, so what is left is the full price band.

Ticket Full price Early Bird 2 (closed 31 Aug) Early Bird 1 (closed 9 Aug)
Adult £15.40 £14.70 £14.00
Under 16 £10.50 £10.00 £9.50
Under 5 £4.25 £4.00 £3.75
Family (2 adults, 1 child) £35.20 £33.50 £32.00

Add £1.50 per ticket in booking fee. Every price above excludes it, which the booking page says in its own note.

One oddity worth knowing before you book: the venue admits its system currently displays the under-16 rate as “Under 15s”. Its note says “the price shown applies to all guests aged 16 and under” and that it is working on the display error.

What the ticket gets you

The listing promises a fireworks display, a funfair, entertainment, fire dancers, a fancy dress competition, a DJ and host, and food and drink. It does not say whether funfair rides are included in the ticket price or pay as you go, so assume you will need money on the night.

The council says the display is “fully choreographed” and lasts about 15 minutes. That figure comes from the resident notification letter the council sent to households around the park last year, which also gave the capacity as 5,000 people.

Banned items

The booking page lists these as prohibited: pets, alcohol, sparklers, fireworks, substances, glassware, pyros, flammable liquids and laser pointers. Last year’s resident letter added that the event does not sell alcohol and that attendees “are not allowed to bring any liquids into the event”.

Bringing your own sparklers to a fireworks display is the most common way people get turned away at these events. Leave them at home.

Getting in: which gate

Enfield Town Park has several entrances and they are not all open for the event. Last year attendees were let in at the Cecil Road gate or the gate beside Enfield Town Community Church, and not via Essex Road, which was reserved for deliveries and event vehicles. The council said wayfinders would redirect people to the correct entrance.

That was the 2025 arrangement. The council normally publishes the equivalent letter about a week before the event, so check the same page in late October for the 2026 version.

The park shuts before the event starts

This surprises dog walkers every year. In 2025 the park closed to the public from 11am on the day and reopened at normal park times the next morning, with some event vehicles still leaving on the Monday. Ordinary park hours are 8am to sunset Monday to Saturday, per the council’s parks page, so if you use Town Park on a Saturday, plan around it.

Travel and parking

The council’s advice is blunt: use public transport.

  • Trains: Enfield Town and Enfield Chase are both a short walk from the park.
  • Buses: the council listed 192, 231, 276, 307, 313, 329 and 341.
  • Car parks: Palace Gardens car park closed at 9pm on the night in 2025.

Driving is the awkward option. In 2025 the council put traffic management officers on Uvedale Road, Walsingham Road, Park Crescent, Raleigh Road, Sydney Road and Essex Road between 3pm and 8.15pm, restricting them to residents only, and its parking enforcement team was out in the area. Residents were told to carry proof of address.

31 October 2026 is a Saturday, so council car parks charge on the standard Monday to Saturday scale: £1.60 for up to an hour, £3.10 for one to three hours, £7.10 for three to five, and £11.50 for over five hours. The free-on-Sunday concession in Enfield Town does not apply. Full detail is on our parking in Enfield page, and if you are driving in from another part of the borough, check our roadworks and travel page first.

Still to be confirmed

  • The 2026 resident letter, with this year’s road restrictions, gate arrangements and park closure time. Expected in the second half of October.
  • Whether the funfair rides are included in the ticket.
  • Any council press release. As of 3 October the council’s news page has published nothing about this year’s show, though the booking page has been live since mid July. The resident letter on the council site is still last year’s, dated 23 October 2025.

We will update this page when the council publishes the event letter.
