Halloween in Enfield 2026: Capel Manor's Spooktacular runs 26 to 31 Oct from £12, and Town Park fireworks are on Halloween night, gates 5pm, display 7pm.
Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, and Enfield has put its two biggest Halloween events on the same day. Capel Manor Gardens’ Halloween Spooktacular runs all week from Monday 26 October and ends on Saturday 31 October, and the council’s Town Park Fireworks are themed as a Halloween Spooktacular and go up at 7pm that night. Around them sit a toddler show at Chickenshed, an adults-only ghost tour at Capel Manor and two Saturday sessions at the Dugdale Arts Centre.
Every date, time and price below was checked on the organiser’s own page or box office on 4 October 2026. For school dates, including the three schools that are off for two weeks, see our October half term in Enfield page.
The quick answer
Capel Manor’s Halloween Spooktacular is Monday 26 to Saturday 31 October, 10am to 4pm, last admission 2pm; pre-booked tickets are £12 for adults and £16 for a child, including a pumpkin. Enfield Town Park’s fireworks are on Halloween night, Saturday 31 October: gates 5pm, fancy dress judging 6.30pm, fireworks 7pm, from £4.25, and no tickets on the gate.
Halloween at Capel Manor Gardens, 26 to 31 October
Capel Manor, off Bullsmoor Lane by junction 25 of the M25 (EN1 4RQ), calls this “our biggest and best Halloween event yet”. The ticket covers a haunted trail through the 30-acre gardens, a horror maze inside the Manor House run with The Dread House, crafts, live entertainment, a “deadly disco” tent, animal talks and feeding in the mini zoo, a sweet treat to take home, and one pumpkin and one bouncy castle token for every paying child (Capel Manor Gardens).
| Ticket | Pre-booked online | On the door |
|---|---|---|
| Adult (16+) | £12 | £15 |
| Child | £16 (ages 2 to 15) | £20 (ages 3 to 15) |
| Under 2s | Free | Free |
| Friends of Capel Manor | Adults free, 20% off child tickets | Adults free, child full price |
Online tickets carry a booking fee. Door-ticket pumpkins are “subject to availability”, which in practice means a late afternoon visit on the Saturday is a gamble.
There is no pumpkin carving this year. Instead, children pick their pumpkin from the patch and can paint it in a 45-minute indoor session, on the hour from 11am to 3pm, at £3 a child. Painting is pre-book only and limited. Carving kits are on sale in the shop for doing it at home. Face painting, extra inflatables and food stalls cost extra on the day.
Last admission is 2pm, two hours before closing. Parking on site is free.
Capel Manor After Dark, Friday 30 October (adults only)
The night before Halloween, Capel Manor runs a one-off torch-lit ghost tour of the gardens from 6pm to 8pm, with a private tour of the ground and first floors of the 17th century Manor House, the estate archives, archive cine film, a glass of Forty Hall Vineyard wine with nibbles and a gift bag. It is 18 and over, £40 plus booking fee, pre-booking essential, and the ticket also lets you into the gardens from 10am. Capel Manor says the tour is not suitable for wheelchair users or anyone with walking difficulties, because of steep original staircases and uneven ground in the dark (Capel Manor Gardens).
One detail to ignore: the “essential information” box at the foot of that page still reads “Thursday 30 October 2025”, carried over from last year. The event header and booking both give Friday 30 October 2026.
Halloween Tales at Chickenshed, 26 to 29 October
For the under-sixes, Chickenshed in Southgate (290 Chase Side, N14 4PE) gives its Saturday storytelling show a Halloween makeover: “cobwebs, creaky sounds and characters that are just the right amount of silly-scary”. There are two 45-minute performances a day, at 10am and 11.30am, Monday 26 to Thursday 29 October, in the Rayne Theatre, from £7. Babies under six months go free; everyone else needs a ticket. It is strictly for ages 0 to 6, older siblings excepted. Seating is mostly on mats, fancy dress is encouraged, and there is limited free parking in front of the building (Chickenshed).
Halloween Saturday at the Dugdale Arts Centre
The council’s arts centre at 39 London Road, Enfield Town (EN2 6DS), five minutes’ walk from Town Park, has two Halloween sessions on Saturday 31 October, both booked through its box office (Dugdale Arts Centre):
- Trick & Treat Circus Live, 11.30am. An hour of magic, circus and comedy billed as “spooky, scare-free” and suitable “for even the smallest of monsters”. Costumes encouraged. Tickets are £14 for adults and £12 for children, seniors and disabled visitors (box office listing).
- Halloween Ghost Art Workshop, 1.30pm. A one-hour craft session where children make a flying ghost from paper plates, paint and lollipop sticks to take home. £9.50 for a child with an accompanying adult (box office listing).
The same morning there are Rubik’s Cube and juggling sessions for ages seven and up; those are on our what’s on in Enfield listings.
Town Park Fireworks: a Halloween Spooktacular, 31 October
The council moved its fireworks from early November to Halloween this year (2025’s show was on 8 November). The box office listing gives gates at 5pm, last entry at 6.30pm, the fancy dress competition judged at 6.30pm and the fireworks at 7pm, with a funfair, fire dancers and a DJ. Prices are £15.40 adults, £10.50 under 16s, £4.25 under 5s, £35.20 for two adults and a child, plus £1.50 a ticket (Dugdale Arts Centre box office).
Three rules matter more than the timetable:
- No tickets on the gate, and the council expects a sell-out.
- No digital tickets. Paper tickets must be collected from the Dugdale Arts Centre by 5pm on Friday 30 October, and lost tickets are not reissued.
- Older times are still in circulation. The council’s A3 poster PDF and some listings sites still say 4pm to 8pm with the display at 6.30pm. The box office changed the times in late September; go by 5pm and 7pm.
Gates, banned items, the park closure from late morning and the road closures are on our Enfield fireworks page.
Planning Halloween Saturday
Capel Manor’s last admission (2pm) and the fireworks gates (5pm) leave room to do both, but they are at opposite ends of the borough: Capel Manor is at the top of the A10 by the M25, Town Park is in the middle of Enfield Town. Capel Manor has free parking; Town Park has none of its own, and the streets around it are closed or resident-only on the night. Enfield Town and Enfield Chase stations are both a short walk from the park.
Before setting out, check parking in Enfield and Enfield roadworks and travel. The clocks go back on Sunday 25 October, so by Halloween it is dark before 5pm.
Also at Halloween
- Forty Hall, EN2 9HA. Rip’s Bone Trail, a hunt for hidden bones through the house, runs Thursday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm, until 31 October at £3 a child, paid at reception (Forty Hall Estate). An adults’ Autumn Pumpkin Paint Pour workshop is on Saturday 17 October at 1pm (Forty Hall Estate). Forty Hall has run its own Halloween trails in earlier years, but nothing Halloween-specific is listed for 2026.
- Millfield Theatre, Edmonton. K-Pop Power and Pop Idols: Spooky Edition on Sunday 1 November, 1pm and 4.30pm, and the over-18s murder mystery Lights, Camera, Murder on Friday 30 October (Millfield Theatre).
- Myddelton House Gardens. Lee Valley has run free pumpkin trails here in past half terms, but its Myddelton House page lists no Halloween event for 2026 as of 4 October. We will add it if one appears.
